Because of the mother of books
I am very surprised by all the correspondence I am discovering between languages since I am interested in the relationships among world languages precisely my native language, English, French, and Arabic (here, here, here). Only these natural languages because there are the only ones I am comfortable with despite my willingness to learn others. Today Like I did before I discovered another cue that of languages that shows how deep our tongues are linked telling us and reminding us that we are coming from the same root. As of today, I learned a new English word which is obituary when I was working on an idea about business modeling.
Like I often do once I got an interesting idea, I went to GoDaddy in order to try to find a relevant domain name for this idea. I tried several names of the idea related to obituaries and ended with I don't know how with a two-word domain name with TAG as the first one. This kind of word that merges two words for a new meaning is called portmanteau and this is the solution of the text game I proposed to you here. As I said, once I discovered this domain name that starts with tag the word tag was sticking on my mind like for telling Hey there is something happening here with me and this idea about obituaries that you working on. It was not hard for me to see that the word TAG was phonetically close to the word TAGé (pronounce the accent like in french) which in my native language describes the action of disclosing publically the death of someone and I believe that you are smart enough to know that this action and the action of tagging are the same. When we disclose something, we are tagging it making it easy for others to see, know, and acknowledge. Languages tell us who we are, where we come from, and also how we think.
Now that I talked about death let me just write down what I censured from my last post after writing it black on white on a piece of paper because I thought it was a personal story that teaches you nothing. Now that the topic is about death, languages, and memories then here it
That was yesterday night and here is the transcript is the paragraph below with some self censured words
Today like I did often I had a souvenir of my late father and grand parents but this time the emotion was so intense that I inundated my face with tears because I cannot be grateful enough to my father, this great artist, a creative man who first gave me the opportunity to use a computer when I was 10 years old now 37 years old I am. He gave me permission to spend all my holiday nights with his computer and I had written my first lines of C code for drawing simple shapes with allegro because I was willing to learn and create a game at that time when I was 14 years old. I will never forget how hard it was for me to draw a rectangle with allegro. Schools and Universities separated me from computers what played a role in why I so lately become a tech leader with many successful internet ventures launched at a young age. But for every bad news a good one, Todays I am very happy with the knowledge and expertise I accumulated with the help of this BOOK that activated my interest in Reading so many other books in order to have better glasses.
hey the drawing in green in the background is Seth Godin
The link above is not a hazardous choice because the idea that led me to this word obituary and to this discovery was all about blogging like I am doing now so go read it please.
