A market is the intersection of a set of people or companies which is an audience and a set of products or ideas which is a want or a need. Great marketers are students of markets said Gary Halbert. I think great marketers also are the ones who sell wants. In fact, the best of them understand so much an audience that they are able to create a want for this audience. Marketers who sell needs are the ones who run for the bottom because needs are set to be avoided.
