What the Internet Archive is doing is work that matters. Collecting and archiving the whole internet and versioning every piece of content to let us go through in a timely manner like a time machine that makes us travel the time back. Wayback machine just describes this kind of machine. While trying to get this machine that would allow us to travel deep into the future I think is important to preserve this Wayback machine that helps us rediscover the internet of yesterday and it is already proven that yesterday’s ideas are today's proven useful tech products and services. Past internet content still holds useful insights that could make today and tomorrow better then it is important to keep them safe from destruction and modification.
Every initiative that tries to preserves the internet should be supported and more if this initiative, like the Internet Archive, is non-profit. Then you can take this article as one that tries to convince you to always support such kinds of initiative.
Like me, you may be interested in discovering past things of the internet, in such a situation the Internet Archive is very useful to us like search engines are. I do think that internet preservation engines have the same value as search engines economically, this 404 internet preservation engine I was writing about is like that, an internet preservation engine. But I do fear that it becomes expensive to discover past content of the internet.

PS: looking for some of my articles that could illustrate this article made me go to google since there is not a feature in Medium that helps me search through my own article using keywords. I got nervous using google for this purpose because I was not able to find the articles I was thinking about but ended having this interesting search engine’s feature (Clock, calendar, time, season)
