It seems that older is being the new better when it is about ranking better in Google results. This is an old website which doesn't have all these new plugins and js third-party services that make a lot of requests when the page load increasing your load time and user experience. This was not a penalizing situation but please know that until May 2021 Google will take into account this metric into its ranking algorithm.
