I agree with you about the growing number of frameworks and stacks I have written about the goods and bads of this trend that make it harder for developers to keep their skills up to date. For the manager part worse it is when the manager is action not a techy person but just an MBA folk ... My believe is that more than an industry tech is a tool were gifted with and whatever is the industry that we will decide to go into this tool will help us make a difference with our contribution.
