Glose’s reader, books, and Dust
This notification just arrived
and ignited this piece of text about books. yes, book readers and lovers are part of those people I care about because I like them and because people like us do thing like this. Books readers are more likely to be Medium users. Medium just bought an eReader startup named Glose probably because the key executives of medium know that better than me that ebooks matter for their business model. But physical books also still matter and that’s what this Glose’s reader app notification remembered me. Yes, physical books get Dust and we used to protect them with a piece of fabrics or In the far past with animal skin like this
Thanks to this protection, many books survived the effect of the time and we inherited from them the knowledge that was more likely to be loosed. We still should do the same for these special books that care for us. We should protect them from dust and from the effect of time because when you hold a physical book you're participating in the transmission of knowledge from generation to generation. Protection of the physical book you hold now is what this article was about a concept of book protection cover that you could buy in order to protect this book that you care about. It happens that this notification reminded me that but ebooks don't need these kinds of protection cover I am talking about here.
