Amber, I should be honest with you and tell you that I have not still read your interesting article before commenting on it but I definitely will and I have added it to my reading list. Almost years before the cloud revolution I have been seeing and thinking that Browsers will disrupt OS because software was starting to be offered as web applications once the bandwidth became more and more available and browsers more and more efficient. I have also been recently thinking and ideating about how to speed up web applications because I think that fast and clever web experiences are the next thing. There are so many saas tools out there that could be offered as default extensions for browsers like Firefox and I sincerely think that since mosaic browsers have been really improved but now these improvements are now very transparent to the user because even techy people like me could not tell the difference between this version of chrome I am using and the preceding one. More than discovery tools, I think that browsers should be natively creative tools also, I mean tools for not only engaging with content but molding and shaping the content that they offer.
