2024 could be the year of nanotechnology and nuclear power
Think big but see and build small, that’s with this mantra and with nanotechnology that I started my 2024 tech year by getting a sense of the prospective development of this industry of nanotechnology after I had previously yearned at how space mining could be a disruptive technology to normal mining methods during the last days of 2023. 2023 was a year that I can’t evaluate and compare with the other past years because this year 2023 passed like a blink of an eye with many interesting things that got in my way like the hope and opportunities of scaling my work and activities with generative AI, hope that may have slowed down a bit my productivity because of the time that I needed to spend exploring the many applications of this new technology to any industry. But I have had a nice year 2023 and hope you too and I wish the best in 2024 for all of us with a year of achievement and happiness in life and work.
when a new year comes by, we set some target goals for this year. In my case, I thought that during this new year 2024, it could be possible to get closer to these ideas about nanoelectronic circuits and networks that I have been highlighting in this tweet
because I got stronger confidence about the impact of the bottom-up methodology of designing and manufacturing things by starting from atoms and then molecules up to the final product which could be an electronic chip like this neural processor that is the end goal of this tentative of building up electronic gates with neural networks that I have been reporting in this blog article.
2024 could be also the year during which nuclear power will gain ever more interest and I sincerely thought about the democratization of this polemical and critical technique of production of electricity in particular sectors like transportation but thinking of electricity that’s this idea of a nano electric power unit embedded into an iPhone and making it always full of charge that occupied most of my mind when planning for things to do in 2024.
of course, these ideas about nanotechnology are very hard but 2024 could be the year in which I could make a big step toward prototyping some of the concepts behind these nanotech products and aggregating the learnings and possible solutions that I have seen during the last two years I have spent prospecting the exploitation of the properties of atoms and molecules for building complexer products like a digital circuit.
But in 2024 there is also BlahBlahUI that is linked to this idea about sneakers that I have been tweeting about last year
BlahBlahUI is a project that deals with bits, not atoms. As an entrepreneur, I would like to be involved in both bit and atoms things by getting my hands dirty not only at punching my keyboard for coding and writing what I would want to do more often in 2024 for sharing ideas with you but I would want also to craft physical things because the production tool is now democratized and easily accessible to every one of us who has the little amount of money to afford it. A genetic processor or a 3d printer doesn't cost so much even if I can’t afford them. Then during 2024, we could build many atoms and bits driven things that could make not only 2024 better than 2023 but also make the world around us a better world and I have said nothing about this EV car that lends HER name to our grandmother EVE whose short story I have written in 2023 remain still not published. So I could say that I have so many things to build in 2024 and I guess you too then let’s start working right now.
